BMW makes driving unpleasant. Four taps for a temporary function. He forgot to mention that there are two other ways to temporarily stop the engine. Put it in "L" or in sport mode. The manual states that the Stop/Start function does not work when the brake pedal is pressed lightly (Online Edition for Part no. 01405A9C604 - X/23, p.136). My X1 (U11) turns off the engine while it is still moving, at 8 km/h, long before the vehicle comes to a complete stop. There are situations where we need to restart the engine quickly but the car does not respond. Very dangerous.

By the way, any idea how to remove the song/artist notifications after you set them on iDrive? I accidentally added the Beatles to notifications on SiriusXM. I didn't realize they have a dedicated channel so I now get a notification every couple minutes on another Beatles song. It's very annoying and I cannot find a way to remove it. Any ideas? Thank you!!!

Terrible system. Full stop. Just bought a 6 month old 520d, check engine light came on on my FIRST drive in the car, back to the dealer with what I think is a faulty shutter. Very very disappointing in the car that only has 3000 miles on it, will I have to get these terrible things repaired every 6 months? Maybe.
